Scope Project “Fireplug”
JdSoft bvba works on a total solution for first responders (e.g. firefighters and ambulance agents) to be called up in an advanced way. The aim for “Fireplug” is to have a complex but easy-to-use system in place by which first responders can be called up in a smart way — based on certain characteristics. For example: availability, specialisation and distance are some of the important determining factors to take into account when making a selection of first responders.
Making an important real life impact
Fireplug is uniquely forward-thinking application that contributes to the efficiency of emergency services around the globe and thus helps citizens in need by shortening the response time. Of course it will also help the volunteering firefighters to stay even more motivated and become more involved and to avoid confusion when being called up.
Strict deadlines to finish
JdSoft has a strict deadline to finalize its product. Fireplug should be up and running for the INFOPOL / EXPO 112 exposition in 2019. EXPO 112 is a specialized fair for emergency services that will take place between the 2nd and the 4th of April of 2019. The Fireplug application should be up and running by then.
Why did JdSoft choose ToThePoint?
To finish Fireplug in time, JdSoft started looking for external IT consultants. A Technical Architect from OnTheSpot helped to analyse the project and to structure the development process. Next up was the hiring of an Expert Consultant from ToThePoint that assisted the development process at the JdSoft headquarters for a few months. This combination ensured the meeting of the deadline to finish a basic version of the Fireplug application.
Conclusion
The extra resources that ToThePoint and its subcompany OnTheSpot provided ensured the necessary progress to meet the deadline that JdSoft laid in place for itself. A basic functioning Fireplug application will be available to showcase at the INFOPOL exposition in time, as projected.
